The Ministry of Health has on Tuesday confirmed 117 new COVID-19 cases in Uganda bringing the cumulative total number of confirmed infections in the country to 9,082.
2 new fatalities have also been recorded in Amuru and Arua districts.
“Results from COVID-19 tests done on 5th October 2020; 117 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 9,082″ the Health Ministry announced.
The new cases include 114 contacts and alerts and 3 truck drivers.
The contacts and alerts are; 80 from Kampala, 12 from Pader, 6 from Sironko, 5 from Mbale, 4 from Arua, 2 from Amuru, 1 from Busia, 2 from Gulu, 1 from Masindi and 1 from Tororo.
The 3 truck drivers arrived from Malaba.
Currently, Uganda has a cumulative total of 9,082 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 5,457 recoveries and 84 fatalities.
