The Ministry of Health has on Monday confirmed 101 new COVID-19 cases in Uganda bringing the cumulative total number of confirmed infections in the country to 10,691.
“Results from COVID-19 tests done on 18th October 2020; 101 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 10,691,” the Health Ministry announced.
The new cases were confirmed from the 1,113 samples tested on Sunday October 18. The total number of samples tested so far is 523,399.
The new cases include 100 contacts and alerts, and 1 truck driver.
These include; 43 from Kampala, 38 from Lira, 6 from Rubanda, 3 from Kiryadongo, 3 from Kisoro, 2 from Iganga, 2 from Jinja, 2 from Namayingo and 1 from Mukono,
Meanwhile, the truck driver who tested positive for Covid-19 arrived from Mirama Hills.
Currently, Uganda has a cumulative total of 10,691 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 6,992 recoveries and 97 fatalities.
