10-man SC Villa Battles Back to Draw Against BUL

Winger Benson Muhindo was given marching orders as 10-man Sports Club Villa rallied from behind to hold BUL FC 2-2 in their Uganda Premier League game one at Kyabazinga stadium, Bugembe in Jinja district.

Emmanuel Wasswa fired Sports Club Villa in the lead inside the first four minutes before Richard Wandyaka found an equaliser for BUL on the half hour mark.

Musa Esenu later put the hosts into the lead when he nodded home past SC Villa goalkeeper Saidi Keni with only nine minutes into the restart.

On the 61st minute mark, the Jogoos were reduced to ten when Muhindo was showed a red card for unsportsmanlike conduct before Nicholas Kabonge could eventually draw matters level with a 78th wonder strike.

BUL FC will host Busoga United in their second league fixture as Sports Club Villa welcomes Mbarara City at the Bombo barracks playground on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Jude Semugabi and Steven Mukwala were on target as Mbarara City and URA FC played to a one all draw at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

At the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo – Kampala, Police FC fired blanks with Wakiso Giants Football Club to share spoils.
