Sharing Youth picked their 3rd win of the campaign with a 57-63 victory against the Tomahawks in the National Basketball league.

Emma Okumu was Sharing Youth’s star man on the day with a double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Sharing Youth will now play defending champions City Oilers on August 9 to complete their Round one that has seen them win 3 of their 10 games so far.

Speaking after the game, the victorious Sharing youth coach, Raymond Muhumuza said: “UPDF came out strong and we all know that they are a hard team to match up against, but i just told the boys to be confident and believe in themselves.”

“We trusted our game plan, and I also used my bench players a bit because I knew it was going to be a deep win i had to get from all of my players,” he added.

It was a strong performance from Okoth Henry of UPDF Tomahawks who scored a game high 31 points but ended up on a losing side.

Tomahawks who missed the services of Moses Muhumuza, have now suffered 8 losses in this season.

UPDF Tomahawks failed to replicate their past strong performance that saw them defeat 5 time champions Betway Power in their recent encounter at YMCA court.
