Impeccable sources told Chimpreports that after been seen off at the Airport, Kiir gently walked to his presidential jet.
“As he was boarding the plane, he fell down. We think it was because of fatigue. So, the presidential aides carried him to the plane but he seemed weak,” a source who claims to have been at the scene, revealed.
At the airport, journalists’ cameras were confiscated and photos deleted by security personnel.
After a few minutes, Kiir was helped out of the plane and driven from the airport to an unknown place, probably a medical facility.
Officials who preferred anonymity confirmed the development: “It is true, he (Kiir) fell but we ask you media people not to sensationalise this incident given the situation we are facing.”
Asked what befell the head of state, the intelligence official said, “as of now we don’t know. It could have been a muscle pull or something to do with respiration. But we should wait for the official statement soon if government deems it fit.”
In Sudan, Kiir and Bashir discussed easing tensions over the disputed border oil towns, security; oil exports and bilateral relations.
Kiir was expected in Juba this evening. However, his flight has been postponed to Wednesday at 10:00am.
