Celebrated reggae duo Chaka Demus and Pliers, along with celebrated South African born comedian Trevor Noah are set for the inaugural Uganda international music and Culture week.
The event, which will stretch from 29h October to 4th November 2017 will ride on the theme “Exploring and celebrating Uganda’s cultural diversity”.
Trevor Noah will headline the comedy fest on November 3rd while Chaka Demus and Pliers will perform in Uganda on November 4th , headlining the music festival during week.
While launching the event on Monday morning, the Director of Sheer solutions Uganda (the organizers) Patrick Idringi aka Salvado noted that they’re in serious talks with the camps, and the stars are set for the event.
During the launch held at Uganda Museum, the Sheer solutions team also announced partnership with Uganda Tourism Association (UTA), an Umbrella Association that brings together various tourism associations in Uganda along with other Tourism players.
The launch was also graced by UTA boss Boniface Byamukama and State Minister for Tourism and Antiquities Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi who promised a sound working relationship with the organizers.
For starters, the Uganda International Music and culture association is an event that is aimed at showcasing the crème of Ugandan cultural dances, food, poetry, comedy and music.
