Andrew Mwenda has said he consciously provoked the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) members and supporters when he strongly attacked them in his podcast.

The audio posted on social media on Christmas Eve dedicated to the biggest opposition faithful, shows Mwenda using tough and abusive words against them including describing them as the “most stupid” people.

The responses to Mr. Mwenda’s eruption were swift and in equal measure or even worse when the customary lethal opposition members took to the same social media taking everything personal against him including sexuality allegations.

Appearing on a political talk show, The Frontline on NBS TV on Thursday evening, Mwenda who appeared relaxed on the matter, said he knew what he was doing.

“I wanted to provoke the FDC supporters and it indeed worked for me. The message in my podcast has been viewed by many and attracted the huge discussions ever,” the fast speaking Mwenda said.

Mwenda said it was only unfortunate that the opposition supporters decided to deviate from the national issues he raised and instead focused on his sexuality.

“The FDC people think the biggest problem facing Uganda is who Mwenda sleeps with,” he said.

Mwenda insisted that the FDC founder Dr. Kizza Besigye is held hostage by party radicals who are derailing his journey to State House.

“Besigye is not a bad politician but the radicals around him are the biggest stumbling block to his dreams of ever rule Uganda.”

According to Mwenda, FDC has no structures and institutional capacity since all the efforts are deployed in building the Besigye brand.
