Students of Faculty of Development Studies and Bachelor of Business Administration were angry at their lecturers thereafter deciding to lock them inside the lecture rooms.

According to our source, when the chaos started, Mbarara Police was alerted, responding immediately as they sprayed tear gas to disband the angry students.

The students are demanding a refund and an explanation as to why they never do internship but the university keeps on charging them the field attachment and supervision fee.

However at around 4:00pm, the situation was calm because of the sports union election exercise that is taking place at the university.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, students at Kyambogo University were threatening to resume violent actions if the administration falls short of releasing a genuine list of students who have cleared their tuition fees.

Students were complaining that they found their names on the lists of tuition fees defaulters yet they had fully paid tuition dues
