Police Bans Cars From Petrol Stations

1 Viewed admin 1 respond

Kampala Regional Police Commander Andrew Kaweesi says no car shall be allowed to park at the stations during night hours to avoid fire accidents. Kaweesi says terrorists could use them to blow up petrol stations and wreak havoc in the city.

Kaweesi says those who do not abide by the new rule shall be arrested. He says police will take action after the deadline of two weeks.

He further blames the recent fire incidents in Makindye, Kawempe and CPS canteen to negligence. He cautions all city dwellers to always switch off power connections after load shedding.

The warning comes on the heels of a recent fire incident caused by a petrol truck that rammed into a petrol station along Bombo Road in Kampala, causing damage worth millions of shillings.
