Van Pee to Revive Uganda's Motocross Glory

This was disclosed by Arthur Blick, who is the team manager for team Uganda, at a press conference which was held today at Speedway garage in Mengo.

Blick added that Maxime who has a vast knowledge in the sport after competing with world champions will be taking on tough Kenyan opponents who include Ivan Guya.

“His presence is an inspiration to the Ugandan side as we shall encounter stiff competition from Kenyan riders who include Shivan Vanyark and Tutu Maina,” remarked Blick, the Ugandan champion.

Flanked by Timothy Luzinda, the Crown Beverages Brand Manager, Blick expressed confidence in the Ugandan team which he believes can outclass and break the Kenyan dominance.

Speaking at the event, Brian Tumusiime, the Event Manager, said that they have upgraded the circuit to give the fans a spectacular viewing.

Uganda will field a team of 25 riders.

Among the strategies which have been put in place to ensure Uganda reclaims its glory, is fielding veterans team and ladies team.

Kenya is expected to send a team of 25 to 30 riders.

Tanzania is expected to confirm soon.

Since Uganda joining motorcross sport, it has registered tremendous success where it managed to lift the African Motocross Championship in 2012.
