“We are subjected to unfair treatment when it comes to transport refund. Out of the Shs 9000 I use on a daily basis, the federation only reimburses Shs 5000 which cannot sustain my travel expenses from Logogo to Bombo,” one boxer told ChimpSport.

Another boxer is pleading with the organisation committee to have separate training at Bombo and only come for the actual trial if the federation cannot meet their transport costs.

UPDF only avails transport arrangements on other events like Novices, intermediates and open.

In the case of national events, it is the National Boxing Council which is supposed to provide the transportation to all the boxers.

UPDF fielded a team of 10 boxers out the 63 boxers who are currently undergoing the trials.
