“These cooperate thieves go to the office of the Administrator General, pick letters of administration which include death certificates, then proceed to lands and there after go to banks to borrow money using false title deeds,” noted Bwanika.

He added: “We have found out that over 3000 Ugandans have been already declared dead when they are still alive and their property has already been shared among these serial thieves.”

Bwanika has, therefore, called upon government to swing into action and investigate this racket of people who declare Ugandans dead in a move to grab their property.

This comes at a time when the country is experiencing increased land grabbing cases and many are living in fear of their land being grabbed anytime.
